Lessons available for Infant & Child, Level 1 & 2

Infant and Child Aquatics: For children age 6 months to 4 years old. A parent/guardian must be in the water with the child at all times. Games and play are used to get children comfortable in the water.

This level teaches elementary skills, such as floating with support, putting their face in the water, kicking and an introduction to arm action for the front crawl. A parent or guardian should be prepared to go in the water at the instructor’s request.

Level II: Primary Skills: This level adds to the skills from Level I but focuses on independent floating and front and back swimming. Students must be comfortable putting their face in the water on request in order to be in this level.

Open Swim from 10:15-12 is free for children participating in the Swim Lesson Program. Level I swimmers must wear floating devices during open swim.
