Bristol Children's Theater Company
Why:
Our children need more afterschool opportunities. Theater has proved to be a very successful opportunity for our community of children. It has been so inspiring to work with kids in theater productions.
What it is:
The Bristol Theater Troupe is an 8-12 week after-school program for students in grades three-six for the 2024-2025 school year. Running two performances during the school year, the first session begins on 9/25! Once registered, a script will be given to you. Yay!
Wednesday, September 25th
3:00-5:00 beginning with auditions ( come prepared with character/s you are interested in playing and we can decide together which character is right for you) on Wednesday, September 25th 3:00-5:00
The following Wednesdays:
Rehearsals: 10/2, 10/9*, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13*, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11
Wednesdays: 3:00-5:00
*1/2 days: 10/9, 11/13, 12/11
dismissal until 3:00
Tech rehearsal: Wednesday, December 11th 12-3
Thursday, December 12th 3:00-5:00
Performance: Friday, December 13th at 6:00 PM
Saturday: December 14th 2:00 PM
Who we are:
Hi! We are Andi and Alison. Our primary goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for children. Our hope is to provide an experience for kids that will inspire while promoting positive self esteem and risk taking. Lastly, promoting joy within a community. Although working as a group, we hope that the members of the theater community find and develop their own talents while supporting each other.
We will do drama games, yoga, basic theatrical skills, developing costumes, set design and set construction, basic lighting, rehearsals, and a performance.
Requirements:
Positive attitude
Attending the weekly workshop 3:00-5:00
Flexibility in scheduling tech rehearsals and performances
Ability to work with peers
Caregivers to rehearse nightly over the 8-12 week period
A commitment to pick up on time
Have fun
Be respectful of the process for all of us in theater troupe
