Adult/Teen Contemporary Ballet Blend

Class begins with ballet barre where we focus on proper body alignment, strengthening core muscles and improving posture and balance. We then have fun moving across the floor with modern phrases of movement and learning contemporary dance combinations. Previous dance/movement experience is helpful.

Dance for 7 - 9 years old

In this class children will discover the joy of expressing themselves physically through dance and creating their own movements. They will also develop body and spatial awareness, balance, flexibility and musicality through learning contemporary and ballet technique. As well they will strengthen their short and long term memory by learning choreographed dances. At the end of the session there will be an informal mini-performance. This class has a limit of 12 students.

Contemporary/Ballet for ages 9.5 - 13
October 20th - Jan 19 (No class Nov. 24 & Dec 29th)
Monday 4:30 - 5:30pm
Students will develop strength, balance, flexibility, musicality and confidence through modern and ballet technique, have fun creating their own movements and learning a dance. At the end of the session there will be an informal mini-performance.
Prior dance, gymnastics, yoga or sports training is helpful.
$195/205 - 12 wks.
Creative Movement for Children 5 - 7 years old
Sept. 29 - Dec. 22 (No class Nov. 24)
Monday 3:30 - 4:20pm
Children will develop body and spatial awareness, balance, coordination, and flexibility through movement and dance. Their imagination and creativity will be stimulated through music, rhythms, images and stories. Children need to be able to take the class independently. This class has a limit of 10 students.
$195/205 - 12 wks.
Evelyne Germain trained at Boston Conservatory of Music, Ballets Jazz Montreal, The Ailey School, and with Shelley Ismail among others. She taught dance at Spotlight Vermont, UVM, VBT School, CD&FS, Ottawa Dance Center, THT and was an adjunct dance professor at St. Michael's College. She holds a B.S. in Education.

There is a maximum number of students permitted in each class.
In order to run a class, a minimum number of students must be registered.
Classes take place at Holley Hall, Bristol.
