PARKING:
Mt.Abe will be giving us an update on parking.
Level I: Water Exploration: Children can begin this level at the age of 4, if they are comfortable in the water. This level teaches elementary skills, such as floating with support, putting their face in the water, kicking and an introduction to arm action for the front crawl. A parent or guardian should be prepared to go in the water at the instructor’s request. * This class is only 30 minutes
Level II: Primary Skills: This level adds to the skills from Level I, but focuses on independent floating and front and back swimming. Students must be comfortable putting their face in the water on request in order to be in this level.
Level III: Stroke Development
Build on skills from Level 2 and develop strokes through additional guided practice in deeper water.
Level IV: Stroke Improvement
Improve their stroke and gain additional aquatic skills.
Level V:
Shallow water dives, tuck and pike surface dives, front flip turns, front crawl and elementary backstroke (50 yards each), breaststroke, butterfly, and back crawl (25 yards each)
Please consider each group carefully before choosing the appropriate level for your swimmer. It is better for a child to feel confident and successful in their lessons rather than be afraid and not ready for the next level. We uploaded your child's level from 2025 using the information we received. Growth and experience should be considered as well when determining what level your child is at.
*Please note that there is a processing fee when paying with a credit card. We also recommend that you fill in the information during the checkout process using the "drop-down" menu options. The Auto-fill occasionally does not recognize the auto-fill info.
Community Swim Hour (11–11:50 am)
Families enrolled in the current week's swim program may join for free. All others are warmly welcome—we just ask that you consider making a pay-what-you-can donation to support our program.
Swim Donation
Please note: We do not carry cash for making change during community swim.
Your donations help us cover the cost of lifeguards—thank you!
*Private lesson requests are booked through the BRD office.
Lessons are 35 minutes with a 10-minute "free swim".
