1827- The Munson family, “In consideration of the friendship, love, esteem and good will for the Town of Bristol” gave the town approximately 1.5 acres of land in the center of town (the land between North St., West and Church St.) to be used as a “Common & Green”. The Green offers a fountain at its center, a lighted bandstand, children’s play ground, peace garden as well as three memorials to our veterans. It is the venue for many town events, including festivals, band concerts, farmers’ market, chicken barbecues, and movies on the park.
- The Green offers a fountain, a lighted bandstand, an ADA-compliant children's playground and peace garden as well as three memorials to veterans.
- The Green is also home to Bristol Band Concerts, which take place every Wednesday evening in the Summer.
